Velour refers to various types of short-pile textiles characterized by a soft, slightly “fuzzy” surface. The term cotton micro-plush is used to help customers better understand the feel and surface finish of this velour fabric.
Micro-plush is a popular material, especially in winter months, but it is most commonly offered as 100% polyester (PES). While this widely available synthetic fabric is soft to the touch and may feel warm, its performance corresponds to the nature of synthetic fibers — it is not breathable, does not wick moisture, and may cause skin or other discomfort over time, especially in sensitive individuals.
Our cotton micro-plush boasts a high 80% cotton content, with the remaining 20% PES forming the base structure of the stretchable fabric.

Velour sheets are suitable for mattresses up to 30 cm in height, but can also be used on lower mattresses — the excess fabric will simply tuck under more. The sheet is highly elastic, which is why it is offered in only four size ranges. It features a strong elastic band sewn all around the edge for a secure fit. Custom sizing or other individual adjustments are not available for fitted sheets.
Care: We recommend washing at 40°C. The improved fabric structure allows tumble drying, which will easily remove any residual manufacturing fibers during the first wash. This minimizes the initial tendency to “shed,” which is typical for velour fabrics. Velour bedding is low-maintenance and does not require ironing.
